How much will a session cost?
A one hour counselling session will cost £40. This fee is negotiable for people who are experiencing financial hardship or are on a low income. I also offer a reduced fee to students.
For people who are travelling a considerable distance, a one and a half hour session is offered at a cost of £60.
Who does my counsellor talk to?
As a member of BACP and COSCA, I work within their professional and legal requirements with regard to confidentiality and supervision.
Supervision is a professional safeguard for counsellors to make sure that they are working in a safe and professional way. I have regular supervision every month, during which I discuss my counselling work, but I do not discuss Client names.
What will the first session involve?
The first session will involve us getting to know each other, and for you to decide if we are going to be able to work together.
It will also be an opportunity for you to ask me anything about how I work, and also to discuss and explore in more detail what it is that's brought you to counselling.
If you feel that it would be helpful to discuss this further before we meet, then please don't hesitate to give me a call. I'll be happy to talk this through with you.
What will the counselling room be like?
I have a counselling room in the peaceful rural location of Drumsmittal, North Kessock - just over the Kessock Bridge and three miles from the city centre. (IV1 3XF) I also have a counselling room in Inverness city centre.
Both of these locations have convenient parking, and there is wheelchair access to my counselling room in North Kessock.
